Calvin Pickard Goaltender – Seattle (WHL) Second Round, 47th overall 6-0, 195 lbs – Catches Left
In 2009-10, Pickard led all Western Hockey League goaltenders in minutes played (3688), total saves (2207) and finished sixth overall in save-percentage (0.914)… Was the 1st ranked North American goaltender in NHL Central Scouting’s final rankings…Pickard faced more than 40 shots on 20 different occasions in 2009-10. He was an impressive 3-0-1 when facing more than 50 shots -- highlighted by a 57-save shutout on October 2, 2009… He represented Canada at the 2010 Under-18 World Championships and won gold at the 2009 Ivan Hlinka Memorial tournament…As a rookie in 2008-09, Pickard played 47 games (26-16-1-4) for Seattle, leading all rookie goaltenders in wins (26) and ranking third in save-percentage (0.896).
Michael Bournival Left Wing – Shawinigan (QMJHL) Third Round, 71st Overall 5-11, 179 lbs – Shoots Left Was the 75th ranked North American Skater in NHL Central Scouting’s final rankings… Competed in the 2010 Home Hardware CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game… Totaled 62 points (24g/38a) in 58 games during the 2009-10 season…Played in six playoff games, scoring two goals and chipping in two assists for four points… Played for Team Orr at the 2010 CHL Top Prospects Game...Played for Team Canada at the 2010 IIHF World Under-18 Championship.
Stephen Silas Defenseman – Belleville (OHL) Fourth Round, 95th Overall 6-0.5, 183lbs – Shoots Left Was ranked No. 60 among North American skater in NHL Central Scouting’s final rankings… Named the Bulls’ Rookie of the Year in 2008-09 as he played on the blueline alongside P.K. Por uma temporada digna de um time forte,que tem tradição.A Primeira sem o grande Sakic,e com nossos garotos que arrebentaram a temporada toda.
Obrigado pela garra,hits,gols,OT gols e aquela vontade de vencer que você provou.Uma temporada que acreditamos,tivemos decepções,mais Alegrias,muitas alegrias,de dormir 3 hrs da madrugada puto,por causa de uma roubada de puck que deu o gol da vitória para o adversário,de acordar o quarteirão 3 hrs da madrugada vibrando com um gol em 9 segundos no OT,e ver que o avalanche lutou acima de tudo.

19/04/2010,os playoffs voltaram a Denver depois de 2 anos longe deles e o Publico deu um show,o Pepsi center todo lotado para ver um jogo eletrizante e com momentos de parar o coração que acabou terminando em mais um OT. Então vamos a historia do jogo que teve um Herói.
Pré-Game: Entrevistas com Joe Sacco diziam que o Sharks teriam trabalho para segurar o Avalanche que estava apoiado por uma torcida determinada a Vaiar Rob Blake (Ex-Avalanche) do começo ao fim, Exatamente as 22:32 no Horário de Brasília o Avalanche entra no Gelo para jogar duro.
Primeiro Tempo: Varios Hits, e uma defesa sólida,com uma vantagem em 1 Chute para o Avalanche.No começo do jogo,perdemos Milan Hejduk,que se atrapalhou com Stastny e acabou se machucando,os 2 times com 2 chances de PP mal aproveitadas.
Segundo Tempo: Varios Hits²,Sharks gostou do jogo,aumentou a pressão e colocou muitos chutes de vantagem encima do Avalanche,Sharks com mais chances de PP,foi ai que Anderson começou a Brilhar,Defesas sem Rebotes,Milagres,e defesas comuns seguranram o Sharks e fomos a um terceiro periodo com o placar de 0 x 0
Terceiro Período: Sharks Keep the Pressure,e Anderson terminou o jogo regular com 50...isso mesmo 50 Defesas,um numero absolutamente Monstruoso,e acabou transformando o Nervossismo do Sharks,que começava a errar mais e mais, e Fim de Jogo Total de Chutes: 51 a 15 para o Sharks (O.o) Normalmente se fosse um Goleiro Mediano...estaria 7 x 0 Sharks...mais como era o Anderson dos Playoffs : 0 x 0
OT: Um OT curto,que terminou com o gol mais esquisito que eu já vi.uma jogada completamente confusa.Ryan cruzou a Blue Line atrás do Puck,não conseguiu alcançar, e lá veio Murray que tocou para Dan Boyle,e o cara faz uma jogada que matou os torcedores do Sharks de raiva,jogou o puck contra o gol de Nabokov,e como Nabokov nem imaginava que Boyle se tornaria um "Avalanche" durante o OT,não teve nenhuma reação.
Ontem começou os Playoffs,Avalanche X Sharks começou muito tenso para o Avs,Setogushi estava muito potente no primeiro período,mas a nossa defesa conseguiu para o ataque do Sharks no primeiro período. Segundo período,Avalanche toma o lugar do sharks na pressão,e com um PP,um jogador que vem crescendo muito nesses últimos jogos,John-Michael Liles fez o primeiro goal para o Avalanche.E ficou nisso,Avalanche 1 x 0 Segundo Período Terceiro Período, Sharks faz uma pressão e na metade do período,Clowe colocou pra dentro em uma lance que no meu ver,foi 80% Sorte.Mas no final do jogo,faltando 50 segundos,Avalanche na Pressão e Stewart com ajuda de um Defletion,coloca pra dentro,e o Sharks perdem o primeiro jogo em casa.
Sharks...um adversário formidável,com estrelas espalhadas por todo o elenco,e vamos as Estatísticas desse time fantástico que é o Sharks:

Sharks se Mostra Superior em Vários pontos. Mas,um certo "Fantasma" Assombra San Jose...o Fantasma dos Playoffs.
O Sharks não tem Copa Stanley,é um time totalmente de temporada regular.Contra seu Rival,Ducks,Ano passado,foi eliminado,com a Situação de Primeiro Colocado. O Sharks tem a Fama de "Amarelar" na hora "H" o que pode colocar o Avalanche em vantagem.Na Questão experiência,o Avalanche não é muito superior,pela quantidade de jovens no time.Mas isso deu certo com o Blackhawks ano passado,e pode(Estou torcendo)para que dê certo com o Avalanche.
